Your privacy is important to Private Parfum LLC (the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”). To better protect your privacy, we provide this statement explaining our online information practices, and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase from private-parfum.com (the “Site”).

Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

In some cases, we may collect and store information about where you are located, such as by converting your IP Address into a geolocation or utilizing the location services of our strategic partners. We may also ask you to provide information about your location, for example, to use your geolocation information from your mobile device to geotag a post. We may use location information to improve and personalize services for you.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including, without limitation, credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

We may use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends and online behavior. These tools collect information sent by your computer or mobile device or our Site, including the web pages you visit, add-ons, and other information that assists us in improving the Site. We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other users so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular individual user.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

How do we use your personal information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; 
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services;
- Conduct audits, data analysis and research;

- Analyze, customize and improve our products and services, as well as the content of and advertisements on the Site;

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).


Sharing your Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information in response to legal process (for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena).  We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of use, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our Site and applicable laws or as otherwise required or permitted by law or consistent with legal requirements.  In addition, we may transfer your Personal Information if we, or one of our business units, are acquired by, sold to, or merged with another company.

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

European Residents
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

California Residents

If you are a consumer who resides in the State of California, then you are afforded specific privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1798.100-1798.199 (the "CCPA"). The CCPA affords certain rights and protections to California residents including: (i) the right to request that we delete any "personal information" that we have collected from you ("Right to Delete"); (ii) the right to request that we disclose the categories and/or specific pieces of personal information collected and sold ("Right to Know"), and (iii) the right to direct us not to sell their "personal information" ("Right to Opt-Out").

 

"Personal information" is defined under the CCPA as "information that identifies relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household."  Before or at the time of using the Site, you may be asked to submit to us certain personal data, the categories of which are detailed in our Privacy Policy.

If you make a request to know what Personal Information we have on file for you and how it has been used, or that we delete your Personal Information (each, a "Request to Know or Delete"), we must first verify that you are, in fact, the consumer whose Personal Information we have collected. We do this for security and fraud-prevention purposes.

 

From the date that we receive a Request to Know or Delete, we will have up to 45 days to respond. However, on notice to you within that first 45-day period, we may take up to an additional 45 days to respond (for a maximum of 90 days).

 

You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment from us for your exercise of the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA.


Data retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

 

Other Websites and Services

We are not responsible for the practices employed by any websites, mobile applications or other services linked to or from our Site, including the information or content contained within them.  Please remember that when you use a link to go from our Site to another website, mobile application or service, our Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party websites, mobile application or services. Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website or service, including those that have a link on our website, are subject to that third party’s own rules and policies.

Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

Minors
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 13 .
